I bought my first truck in 2000, which was a 1946 Maxim pumper originally from Wareham, MA on Cape Cod. You can see photos of my truck when it was just built in the black & white original delivery photographs. It is a 1946 Maxim equipped with a 500 gpm pump.
Having grown up in Wareham, MA, it was especially nice to have been able to acquire this truck. Below are some recent color photographs of my truck. Although there is some rust on it, the truck is still in pretty good condition.

Pictured right: In October of 2004, my father and I added another Maxim Fire Truck to our collection. This 1932 Maxim was originally from East Bridgewater, MA and served in Becket before changing hands several times, is a shared project between us and due to my dads hard work is a trophy winner in virtually every parade!

Pictured left: My wife told me I couldn’t have anymore fire trucks, so I bought this 1942 WWII vintage Maxim Emergency Defense Pump Trailer that originally served in Fall River, MA. It has a 500 gpm pump powered by a Ford flathead engine. Thousands of these were made during the war effort, but very few are left. Needing only a paint job, the engine still runs. Despite the technicality, I’m told she means it this time!
